My name is Evanthia Pavli and I will be in a Cute Project!

Cute Project

Thank you for this opportunity to speak, My name is Evanthia and I am an occupational therapist working in rehabilitation.
I live in South Africa. I am one of the lucky few on our continent who is both blessed and fortunate enough to have access to medical care.
Unfortunately for the majority of Africans this is not the case. Millions of Africans are forced to survive under very poor conditions where access to basic amenities cannot be assumed. Every year, thousands of innocent
children fall victim to their own poverty, are exposed to open ames and sustain severe life changing burns. Their plight is devastating, and they are in desperate need of not only basic medical care but in most cases specialized medical care.

It therefore warms my heart that organizations such as the CUTE Project exist, an organization whose ethic looks not only at changing the life of children with buns, but also empowering others with the tools to do the same.

first came to know the CUTE team when I joined them on their mission last year in the Congo. I was fortunate enough to be able to work closely with the team doing the post op splinting and early rehabilitation.
WHAT AN unforgettable experience. It was inspiring to watch the CUTE team work and to have them embrace me into their team. They demonstrated incredible work ethic, were very organized and worked tirelessly performing life changing surgeries with the local medical sta . But what was most inspiring was to see the care and compassion they had when interacting with the children and their families.

I am therefore so grateful to have been invited to join CUTE team on their next mission in Benin. The potential difference that can be made to the lives of so many children is incredible and to have the opportunity to be a part of this process with this team is wonderful. I would like to thank them for the invitation to join them and look forward to another wonderful and successful trip in Benin

Thank you
Evanthia Pavli
